Plant products in the province of Taza

Plant products are part of the radiant artisanal activities of the province of Taza, particularly in rural areas with a very important plant cover of dum and horsehair. Manufactured products are diversified by their form or the use of raw materials, there are doum items and others in horsehair. The BeniFrassen Rural Commune, located 60km from the northwestern city of Taza, is considered to be the main bastion of crop production for several reasons; the most important is the historical attachment of the population of this municipality to this heritage over generations. In addition to the mountainous nature of the region, this has encouraged these people to pursue this activity because of their proximity to the sources of raw materials and to increase their income because the yield of agricultural activity, their main source of livelihood, is low .
